It has come to our attention that there has been a development regarding the prosecution (persecution) of journalist Gary Hunt. This past January, the documented use of lawfare was proven through judicial transparency thanks to the release of court documents. These documents show that United States Attorney Pamala Holsinger tried to convince Judge Anna Brown that Hunt was in possession of what she considered to be contraband, which was actually discovery evidence. From 2014 – 2016, the late LaVoy Finicum made his foray into the alternative media as a vlogger. During this period within 2015, he also managed to get his novel published as a way to finance his mounting legal costs that were incurred thanks to the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Although most people remember Finicum as that member of Citizens for Constitutional Freedom (C4CF) known as the #TarpMan, who really was LaVoy Finicum and what did he actually believe in?

Robert “LaVoy” Finicum was born on January 27th of 1961 in Kanab, Utah. He worked on a drilling rig in his early twenties, and later in a sawmill within the town of Fredonia, Arizona. Finicum was a teetotalerprepper” as well as a Mormon. Continue reading

Rest Easy, Robert Beecher: 1954 – 2017

The late Robert Beecher.


Remember Robert Beecher? He was an American patriot who was charged by the federal government for allegedly violating 18 USC § 922(g) for the victimless crime of “felon in possession of firearm,” which was originally intended to target only mobsters during alcohol Prohibition. Beecher eventually took a plea agreement in order to spare his daughter, Jessica Beecher, from prosecution herself; his 10-year sentence began in 2015, and so he was expected to be released sometime in 2025.

As a 60-year-old political prisoner, Robert Beecher was a grandfather who was not exactly in the best of health. In fact, Jessica wrote the following for the activist legal defense fund that was created on May 23rd of 2014:


“He sits in Bulloch County Jail, being denied medical care, and waiting for his day in court…[w]e really believe that he is being singled out for his vocal political beliefs, and worry that if he does not secure a solid legal defense, that he will die in prison.” [emphasis added]


Furthermore, the March 12th, 2015 judgment in a criminal case said, in part:


“That the defendant be designated to a Bureau of Prisons facility in Jesup, Georgia; subject to capacity or any regulation which would affect such a designation. It is recommended that the defendant be evaluated by Bureau of Prisons officials to establish his participation in an appropriate program of substance abuse treatment and counseling during his term of incarceration.” [emphasis added]


Obviously, there was already concern about the prison bureaucrats doping Beecher up so he couldn’t tell the other inmates why he was a political prisoner, as if he were a Russian dissident shoved into a psikhushka (Soviet mental hospital). Due to the lack of transparency (despite enough of his court documents getting released, thankfully), there is no way to know for certain whether such “treatment” would’ve been potentially in violation of the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition against cruel and unusual punishments. The Anarchist Republic Of Cospaia (2015)

Today’s article was originally written by Anthony Caprio, who argues that the Italian Cospaia was a permanent autonomous zone (PAZ) for centuries. I’d encourage you to read his earlier articles, Free Cities & Commonwealths: A Bridging Strategy to Freedom,” andLiechtenstein,” as well as Regan Keely’s It’s Time to Transcend Politics,” which gives a decent overview of privatized cities.



The next time one of your friends says “name one place where Anarcho-Capitalism has been tried,” you can proudly respond “The Republic of Cospaia.” For nearly four hundred years, this tiny republic thrived in central Italy with no government, no rulers, no military, no bureaucracy, and no taxes!

Cospaia’s success is an unlikely story that illustrates how remarkably little is required for prosperity. Although it’s called a “Republic” it’s only in the sense that a council of elders with no enforcement power occasionally met in the church. This landlocked territory had an area of only 330 hectares (815 acres), about the size of a large farm. The population varied over the centuries but was usually around 300 people, with less than 100 households. In the beginning the population was illiterate, with the exception of the parish priest. The republic was never invaded, or placed under the control of a foreign power, except for a brief period during the Napoleonic Wars (a conflict they survived). Despite being a landlocked territory, with a largely uneducated population, removed from major trade routes, Cospaia thrived and became the envy of its neighbors, because for neatly four hundred years they avoided the oppressive hand of government. The Citizens for Constitutional Freedom (C4CF) were a group of American constitutionalist patriots who conducted a sit-in at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon last year. They were arrested concurrent with the ambush that got LaVoy Finicum killed by government police. Subsequently, the C4CF membership were charged with violating 18 USC § 372 (“conspiracy to injure or impede officers of the United States”); on October 27th of 2016, a federal jury delivered not guilty verdicts for several, but not all, of C4CF.
